One night in Brussels

There is nothing more liberating than packing a large handbag, with a few changes of clothing, a book, toiletries and your travel card, setting off into the land of waffles, Tin Tin and Chocolate. You guessed it...Brussels offers everything a foodie, fashion and architecture nerd could want. 20140601_194028 20140601_122643

Travel handbags

I could give you a lot of advice about travelling through Brussels, but one particular tip really stands out. Warning: Choose the handbag you take with you wisely! At one point, I was destitute without a functioning mobile phone, all because of an unwise handbag decision. A water bottle leaked in my handbag. This marked the beginning of a series of mishaps, adventures and mistranslations that left us stranded in a park playing a guitar for a lonely widow, whose English was less than perfect, followed by some encounters with some unscrupulous characters. While the mishaps created memories, for the sake of everyone's sanity (particularly my friends).  I suggest a handbag with a central compartment, that it relatively water resistant. 20140601_151404 Safe keep your sanity and essentials in a handbag like this, the compartment is detachable.tweet CTA share button like us facebook-shopping1 google plus facebook instagram youtube pinterest-icon twitter Follow on Bloglovin
